Comments for vSERV Aggregated File System
1Vision Software's vSERV is a management solution for Windows-based servers and network attached storage (NAS) that brings all storage volumes together into a single environment that looks and behaves like a single storage device. By aggregating the file systems of multiple servers and NAS devices, it presents all users a single shared directory that is updated in real time. The virtual layer added between hardware and the logical view allows all storage to be securely shared by all users, ensures even utilization of all devices, enables the seamless scalability for expanding systems, and simplifies or eliminates many routine management tasks. Aggregation extends the life of your current storage system by making unused pockets of storage capacity available to users attached to a device that may be at or near capacity. vSERV is the only server-management software available with 1Vision's patented Persistent File System (PFS), a unique file-monitoring system that examines server and NAS file systems, shares the information with other devices, and updates the common directory in real time.

This really saves storage $$$s
by Jim Besser,
- By using this product on 8 of our existing 2000 servers we were able to create a single 2.4 TB storage volume. We no longer get user complaints that they've run out of storage space and we did this without changing our hardware at all. Best of all it we installed the software and had everything running in less than an hour. Future expansion will be a snap.
