XP installation problems? Simplify by unplugging extraneous devices

XP has Microsoft's latest drivers and device support. If your installation does not go smoothly, one strategy that can help in a lot of cases is to disconnect your hardware peripherals and then install XP while the peripherals are disconnected. Reconnect and turn on the peripherals one at a time and XP should recognize them and install the appropriate drivers. Digital Media With Windows XP
