MDAC 2.7 has a severe performance problem with the MDAC dlls becoming CPU hogs.
Ever version of XP ships with MDAC 2.7 support. The same bug exists in the,
thankfully, yet to be released Windows 2000 MDAC 2.7. See Randall C.
