Win9x workstations copying files from a Windows NT server may be very slow if IPX is used. The slowness is not seen if the NT box copies files from the Win95 client. The problem does not exist in any other combination of OSs. To speed up copying, set Win95's HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\Vnetsetup\DirectHost to 1.
