Many of us have failing memories. For us, it is a very nice feature to have the DUN (Dial-Up Networking) program remember the password for logging onto a network. This is also a serious security problem for laptop users. To disable, use the following registry hack:

Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Key: SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan\Parameters
Name: DisableSavePassword
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1

After reboot, DUN will no longer disable the Save Password check box, nor will it remember any passwords set prior to this registry change.
