Back Up Printer Configurations

Protect your print servers by backing up their printer configurations.

Another use for Print Migrator besides migrating NT printers to Windows 2000/2003 and consolidating multiple print servers into a single print server is to use this free tool to back up the configurations of your network printers. This can be a lifesaver should you ever accidentally delete a printer or make a configuration change to a printer and forget what you did. In such an event, all you nee to do is start Print Migrator on your print server, select Action --> Restore, select the backed-up printer configuration, and click Open without specifying a target IP address. This will restore the saved configuration to the local machine and restore things to the way they were before.
