Windows 2000 Tips

Some non-network related Windows-2000 items, which may be helpful for you:

Support for IOMEGA Parallel-Port ZIP-drive:
Windows 2000 did NOT detect my Parallel-port ZIP-drive.

It was required for the Printer port to "Enable legacy Plug and Play detection":


I could have added a Registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Parallel\Parameters
name: ParEnableLegacyZip as DWORD_Value of 1:

Then, the Harward Wizard found the ZIP-drive as: "IMG VP0":
